I went grocery shopping yesterday. I took my granny and my aunt. My aunt is visiting for a while, so it was her first trip with us. She is on a tight budget (aren't we all??) and kept saying she couldn't afford to shop at Publix. I collected my coupons and shopping list from www.southernsavers.com and went about my shopping. We had a buggy-full by the time we were done. It included:
4 boxes of Cereal (2 Raisin Bran and 2 Special K)
2 Land o' Lakes margarine
2 boxes of Gorton's fish sticks
8 cans of Select Harvest Soup
20 jars of Earth's Best baby food
4 Betty Crocker Mashed potatoes
2 pkg. Johnsonville Brats, carrots
2 Dukes Mayo, 2 Pecan Sandies
3 Coffee Mate Creamers
2 Aunt Jemima Pancakes boxes
4 Voila! Meals, Pledge Wipes
4 Toll House Cookie Doughs
4lb bag of Navel Oranges
1.5 lb of apples
1 DiGiorno Pizza,
4 bags of Shredded Cheese
Ricotta cheese
1.5lb Zucchini
Metamucil
Greenworks Laundry Detergent
2 Diet Pepsi 2 L
for a grand total of $81, with over $110 saved using coupons and sales. Not the best week of shopping, but not bad either. I won't have to go back for at least two weeks. (I do buy milk at Walmart, but that is every three days or so. We drink a ton of milk! ) When we finished, my aunt wanted me to teach her how to use coupons!
